Rordon has over 25 years of experience in the marketing, procurement and, global distribution of FMCG’s. He has founded and owned multiple FMCG-focused businesses, offering conceptual and strategic in-store solutions to leading retailers throughout the globe & African continent.
His extensive experience in managing these relationships is a key factor in TradeRoots’ current success. Rordon’s career started with Cadbury Schweppes, in the early 1990’s. Thereafter, he joined RSA Market Agents as a floor salesman, where he learnt from the ground-up about fresh produce.
His involvement in the FMCG retail market grew steadily and he branched off into advertising. Eventually, Rordon started and managed his own through the line advertising agency, Rordon Tait Designs (RTD) which handled global brands such as Coca-Cola, Heineken & Caltex.
Rordon’s passion and consistent procurement excellence, as well as his extraordinary producer/grower relationships soon turned into his own business; he successfully initiated and started Federated Farmers – a company which he sold to the RSA Group, today part of IMS holdings.
